NISD offers free developmental screenings for infants, toddlers, preschoolers

Northwest ISD’s Parents as Teachers programs offers FREE Developmental Screenings for infants (at least 2 months old), toddlers and preschool age children.

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your child’s progress, understand their unique strengths and identify areas to support their growth. You do not need a student currently enrolled in the district to take advantage of this free service.

Screenings are available in English and Spanish and provide valuable insights into your child’s:

  • Motor Skills
  • Problem-Solving Abilities
  • Communication Development
  • Personal-Social Skills

For older three-year-olds, four-year-olds, and five-year-olds (not yet in Kindergarten), we also offer a Kindergarten readiness screening to explore school readiness. Additionally, we provide a social-emotional screening to help better understand and support your child’s emotional well-being.

Sign up now for your child’s free screening! For more information on the Parents as Teachers program, please visit www.nisdtx.org/familyinvolvement.

Screenings are completed in person at the NISD Family Involvement Center (1800 W HWY 114, Justin, TX, 76247) and are available to children 2 months to 5 years old (not yet in kindergarten).
