NISD schools team up for 10,000 for the Troops
Five NISD schools - Carter Elementary, Haslet Elementary, J.C. Thompson Elementary, Sendera Ranch Elementary and Wilson Middle School - are teaming up for the 10,000 for the Troops holiday card drive, in partnership with KSCS 96.3’s Hawkeye in the Morning and Support Our Soldiers (SOS).
Last year, Sendera Ranch and J.C. Thompson passed their combined 2,000-card collection goal, crafting and collecting over 2,300 holiday cards for U.S. troops. This year, the five NISD schools will strive to reach a goal of 2,500 cards.
Anyone who would like to help these schools reach their goal is welcome to participate! Parents and siblings of Carter, Haslet, J.C. Thompson, Sendera Ranch and Wilson students may send any homemade cards to school with their student. They will be able to place the cards in the appropriate collection box.
Card collection will start September 5 and end November 3.
