NISD sending 10 student-athletes to UIL Track & Field State Championships

A total of 10 Northwest ISD student-athletes will represent the district in six different events in Austin at the UIL Track & Field State Championships. Students from Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest high schools have qualified for the state meet, including eight from the 6A Region I championship winning Byron Nelson boys team.
The Bobcats’ qualifiers include Macavion Hill and Jayden Gillison, the 6A Region 1 champions in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, respectively. The Bobcats also enter the state meet with a regional champion 4x100-meter relay team.
Competition at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin will be held on Saturday, May 16. More information on the state meet, including schedules, can be found on the UIL website.
