NISD sending 17 student-athletes to UIL Track & Field State Championships

A total of 17 Northwest ISD student-athletes will represent the district in nine different events in Austin at the UIL Track & Field State Championships. Students from Northwest and Byron Nelson high schools have qualified for the state meet, including two who enter as individual Regional Champions, plus four relay teams that enter as Regional Champions. In addition, the Byron Nelson girls team enters as team Regional Champions.

Competition at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium will be held on Friday, May 3, for Northwest and Saturday, May 4, for Byron Nelson. More information on the state meet, including schedules for both the 5A and 6A level, can be found on the UIL website.
