NISD students craft more than 7,000 cards for U.S. troops
This year, students from 12 Northwest ISD schools — Carter, Haslet, Hughes, Justin, Lance Thompson, Prairie View, Sendera Ranch and Thompson elementary schools, Chisholm Trail, Pike and Wilson middle schools, and Northwest High School — crafted and collected 7,225 holiday cards for New Country 96.3's 10,000 for the Troops!
Sendera Ranch Elementary collected over 2,000 cards alone, reaching a goal that allowed Mr. Drew's 2nd grade class to shave his head! Click here to listen to Mr. Drew talking about his experience on the radio!
Once the cards from all schools were gathered, students from Chisholm Trail dropped them off at the American Airlines Center where they had the opportunity to meet Mark "Hawkeye" Louis and Michelle Rodriguez from Hawkeye in the Morning.
