NISD students participate in Sonny Nance Memorial Junior Livestock Show

Northwest ISD FFA students will host the district's annual Sonny Nance Memorial Junior Livestock Show on Saturday, January 7. Visitors are welcome to attend the show at the Kelly W. Box Agricultural Science Center, beginning at 9 a.m.

Students from across the district — as young as third grade — will showcase their animals and agricultural projects.

Agriculture Mechanics projects will be displayed in the parking lot, while floriculture & horticulture projects will be on display in the main classroom located inside the science center. Cattle and rabbits will be competing in Arena 1. Swine, sheep, and goats will be competing in Arena 2. Bingo games and an award ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the show.

A cash-only concession stand and local food truck vendor will be on site.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to help students care for their animals and projects during area competitions.
