Northwest ISD is relaunching and rebranding its Grow Our Home program as the Grow Our Own Educators program, providing aspiring educators with opportunities to explore pathways to teacher certification and careers in Northwest ISD.

As part of the relaunch, Northwest ISD will host a Grow Our Own Educators event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 15, with check-in beginning at 4:30 p.m. Those interested in participating must RSVP, and more information will be provided closer to the event.

The event will connect future educators with representatives from educational preparation programs and provide an opportunity to learn about program options, timelines and requirements, as well as career opportunities in education with Northwest ISD.

The event is open to individuals who already have a bachelor's degree and want to earn a teaching certification, as well as those who need to earn a bachelor's degree before pursuing certification. Attendees can explore alternative certification and fast-track options, as well as traditional degree pathways that can prepare them for a career in education.

The Grow Our Own Educators program supports Northwest ISD's commitment to developing exceptional educators who empower students to succeed. The program encourages future educators to explore their path, ask questions and find the right fit as they consider a career in education.

Interested participants can RSVP here to reserve their spot. RSVPs are first come, first served. Once capacity is reached, the RSVP form will close.
