Reminder: Registration open for summer camps
Northwest ISD and its schools offer a wide range of summer programs for families interested in camps for academics or extracurricular activities.
All summer program opportunities can be viewed at www.nisdtx.org/summer, with camps offered at different points throughout the school break. Popular recurring academic summer camps include:
- Camp Invention: An opportunity for students to explore various STEM-related innovative activities. Grades K-6. Offered at different campuses on different dates in June and July.
- Destination Imagination Camp: Learn creative problem-solving skills at Destination Imagination Camp. Grades 3-8. Offered at Hughes Elementary School June 15-18.
- Junior Chef Academy: Learn essential cooking skills, gain confidence in the kitchen and have a blast preparing delicious recipes. Grades 6-8. Offered in three sessions (June 1-4, June 8-11 or June 15-18) at Northwest High School.
- TechnoCamp: A dynamic, hands-on technology camp to spark creativity in students through engaging challenges with robotics. Grades 1-6. Offered June 1-4 or June 8-11 at Perrin Elementary School.
In addition to academic camps, Byron Nelson, Northwest and Eaton high schools each offer a variety of athletic camps across grade levels throughout the summer.
