Sonny Nance Memorial Junior Livestock Show set for this weekend

Northwest ISD FFA students will host the district's annual Sonny Nance Memorial Junior Livestock Show on Saturday, January 13. Community members are welcome to attend the show at the Kelly W. Box Agricultural Science Center, beginning at 9 a.m. 

Students from across the district — as young as third grade — will showcase their animals and agricultural projects. 

Floriculture, horticulture and agricultural mechanics projects will be on display throughout the center. Cattle and rabbits will be competing in Arena 1. Swine, goats and sheep will be competing in Arena 2. A beef raffle and an award ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the show. 

A cash-only concession stand and local food truck vendor will be on site.
