Three Eaton seniors earn scholarships from Student Influencers of AllianceTexas program

Northwest ISD was proud to welcome guests from Hillwood this week for a special recognition of three Eaton High School seniors. Rebecca Brown, James Lindsey and Karina Lorange, all students in the Business Management & Entrepreneurship Academy, were awarded $5,000 scholarships and an opportunity to mentor some of their fellow students.
Rebecca, James and Karina were members of the Student Influencers of AllianceTexas programs last year, and thanks to their exceptional engagement, professionalism and attitude, they stood out among their peers. They were selected from among the 36 students in the program to receive scholarships and an invitation to serve as Ambassadors this year.
The Student Influencers of AllianceTexas program is open to students from multiple districts, and five from last year’s program were chosen for this special honor, with three of those students being from NISD. In addition to their scholarships, they will now return to the program this year to lead and mentor a new group of students.
Rebecca, James and Karina believed they were coming to the NISD Administration Building to be part of a panel discussion, but were surprised to see their families in attendance when they arrived. After answering a couple of panel questions, Hillwood staff and representatives presented the students with their scholarships and invitations to be Ambassadors for this year’s influencer program.
The Student Influencers of AllianceTexas program, led by Hillwood, is a unique nine-month program that allows a talented and ambitious group of hand-selected high school juniors to be fully immersed in AllianceTexas. Students gain experience through collaboration with businesses, sharing future workforce insights and ideas.
The program concludes with a capstone project presentation at Charles Schwab’s Corporate Headquarters in Westlake.
