Steele Early College High School senior Valerie Abai and Eaton High School seniors Shlok Brahmbhatt and Sophia Bacon were surprised Wednesday with news of their selection. After participating in the program last year, the students will now help mentor the newest group of student influencers.

The program brings together high school students from Northwest, Argyle, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw and Keller independent school districts to explore industries such as aviation, logistics and supply chain, health care, finance and autonomous mobility.

“Opportunities like this give students a chance to connect what they’re learning in the classroom to the careers and industries shaping our region,” said Kelley Henderson, Northwest ISD executive director of college and career readiness. “Students build confidence, expand their professional networks and gain real-world experiences that can help them make informed decisions about their futures.”

Through its partnership with AllianceTexas, Northwest ISD provides Career and Technical Education students with opportunities to explore careers, connect with industry professionals and develop leadership skills.

Students will participate throughout the program in industry tours, professional interviews, networking opportunities and hands-on project planning. The experience will culminate with a capstone project presentation at Charles Schwab’s corporate headquarters in Westlake.
