Naming nominations open for High School #4, Agricultural Center #2

Northwest ISD has opened the nomination process for community recommendations of names for two future facilities: the district’s fourth comprehensive high school and its second agricultural science center.
An electronic nomination form is available on the district’s website, and a physical nomination form can be requested by calling 817-215-0171. Additional information may be included, such as news clippings, letters of recommendation and/or printed resources that would assist board members in making their decision. Please note that AllianceTexas is a trademark, and variations of this name or any other trademark will not be considered for names of any Northwest ISD facilities.
According to Northwest ISD Board Policy, trustees will name school buildings for a recommendation that meets at least one of the categories listed below. Nominations may not be made in honor of any living individual.
- In memory of a person who has served the District or community, especially in service to children;
- In memory of any person who has made a significant contribution to society and/or education and his or her name shall lend prestige and status to an institution of learning;
- A local residential or geographic area; or
- A District property donor or his or her family members.
The district will accept nominations for both facilities through Sunday, November 9. Existing naming recommendations will also be considered. Following the nomination process, a naming committee will recommend names to the school board for final approval in the coming weeks.
About High School #4
Located in Forth Worth between North Riverside Drive and I-35, High School #4 will provide relief for Eaton and Byron Nelson high schools. The school is currently under construction and will open in August 2027. Tentatively, Tidwell and Worthington middle schools are expected to feed into the school. Exact feeder patterns – including elementary schools – and any changes to attendance boundaries will be determined during a rezoning process between winter 2026 and spring 2027.
About Agricultural Science Center #2
Northwest ISD will also open Agricultural Science Center #2 in 2027. The facility will be located in Haslet and shared by High School #4 and Eaton High School. This location, near Worthington Middle School, will provide a short commute for agricultural students at both schools. The existing Kelly Box Agricultural Science Center will then be shared by Byron Nelson and Northwest high schools.
