Northwest ISD’s career academies and CTE – career and technical education – pathways are now accepting enrollment request for the 2019-20 school year. The CTE program is focused on students working alongside experienced and professional instructors in high-tech career academies and programs.

The CTE program’s 19 career pathways and eight career academies are built around career exploration students can experience while still in high school. These programs allow students to discover their passions before entering college or their careers, placing them in position to succeed. Students can also earn national industry certifications and take advantage of personalized support, student leadership opportunities, scholarships, competitions and more.

Students can submit their enrollment request to an academy or pathway by visiting www.nisdtx.org/cte and clicking the “CTE Academy/Pathway Request for Enrollment” link highlighted in yellow.

For priority placement, requests must be submitted no later than Jan. 15, 2019. On this day, CTE staff will review all submitted applications. If space remains after this review, staff will look at future requests.

Placement letters for priority academy applicants only are scheduled for mailing on Feb. 8.
