Northwest ISD and Reliant, the district’s new transportation service provider, have released their bus routes for the 2018-19 school year, which can now be seen online.

Information about the routes was sent in a personalized email to families that registered for busing during the enrollment process. The routes can also be viewed at this website after inputting an included student’s information. Those who missed the transportation enrollment deadline of Aug. 14 should contact their campuses for assistance updating enrollment forms. These forms must be completed at the campus level – the transportation staff cannot add a student to a route without a school’s involvement.

Families with questions about the district’s bus routes can call Reliant at 817-698-1287 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding district holidays.

To track buses, families can download the SafeStop app from the App Store on iPhones or the Google Play Store on Android smartphones. Information about a student must be inputted to view his or her route on the app.

Northwest ISD invested more than $20 million for 240 new school buses. These include 47-passenger buses for special education students, along with 77- and 84-passenger buses for regular education students. All buses have seat belts this year, and the 77- and 84-passenger buses have overhead storage for backpacks – this will allow students to store their backpacks separately and buckle up safely.
