Northwest High School’s cheerleaders and Sidekicks drill team members will perform in the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 22, when they will take part in the largest annual parade in the world.

Since 1924, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has served as a staple of the United States holiday season. More than 50 million people watch the parade on television, and more than 3 million people attend it in person. This year’s parade will take place Thursday, Nov. 22. The television broadcast can be watched on all network NBC stations on Thanksgiving morning.  The team will also appear on the Today show the Tuesday morning before the parade.

The Texan cheerleaders are expected to be on TV at about 10:50 a.m., while the Sidekicks are expected to be on TV at about 11:50 a.m. For updates on the groups, follow the Texan cheerleading Twitter account and Sidekicks Twitter account.
