The Dallas Morning News has recognized Northwest ISD through its 2019 Top Places to Work program, placing the district in prestigious territory with other national standard honorees.

This list is based solely on employee feedback collected through a third-party survey. Approximately 76 percent of Northwest ISD staff members completed the survey, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“It is fitting these results are released around Thanksgiving, because I am extremely thankful to work alongside the employees in Northwest ISD,” said Superintendent Ryder Warren, Ed.D. “Thanks to our staff, we have earned a distinction that is more than just recognition. It is a direct reflection of our workplace culture.”

Research has shown organizations that receive this level of status not only attract amazing talent and experience lower turnover, but they are also able to support employees in a highly engaged workplace culture.

Northwest ISD staff used words such as “innovative,” “high expectations,” “growing” and “progressive” to describe their workplace culture. The survey indicated employees feel well informed about important decisions and agree the school district operates by strong values.

“One of the things that made me want to be a part of Northwest ISD was the strong culture represented by employees,” Dr. Warren said. “No one else can make that happen but our staff. Their hard work, engagement, values and support are why we have been named a 2019 Top Workplace.”
