Two of Northwest ISD’s comprehensive high schools, Eaton and Northwest, have set their first performances of the 2019-20 school year, with productions taking place in September and October, respectively.

Eaton will produce the first high school musical of the season, “Newsies,” with performances set daily from Sept. 5 to 8. The show is based on the 1992 Disney movie and inspired by a true story of newsboys going on strike when new rules make it harder for them to do their jobs.

Northwest will perform “Shakespeare in Love,” based on the award-winning movie, on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25. The play tells the fictional story of William Shakespeare as he navigates relationships while writing “Romeo and Juliet.”

Tickets to all performances are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Northwest ISD staff and Gold Card members receive free admission when displaying their appropriate identification.
