Two Northwest High School football players signed their letters of intent during the NCAA’s early signing period on Wednesday, Dec. 18, a special occasion for some of the nation’s top prospects to sign with colleges.

Cooper McDonald signed his letter of intent with the University of Washington, while teammate Michael Nichols signed with Texas Christian University. Both schools play Division I football in two of the top conferences in the nation.

Both Cooper, a linebacker, and Michael, an offensive lineman, are rated three-star recruits by football analysts.
