The U.S. 287 service road project at Eagle Boulevard is well underway, and the conversion is anticipated to begin on Friday, March 1. Weather permitting, this conversion process includes changing the frontage road to a one-way road and opening the southbound on-ramp to the highway.

This is a partnership with Northwest ISD, the city of Fort Worth, TxDOT and Tarrant County Precinct 3. The U.S. 287 service road project will improve major traffic and safety concerns affecting Schluter Elementary School, Adams Middle School and Eaton High School; this is one of our fastest-growing areas in the school district.

Additionally, the city of Fort Worth has begun improvements at the intersection of Eagle Boulevard and Willow Springs Road, and the widening of both Willow Springs and Blue Mound will begin soon. Northwest ISD will keep families updated on progress at the site.
