Medlin Middle School invites the entire Northwest ISD family to its “Medlin Cares” Community Conference and Expo on Tuesday, Feb. 18. This event is designed to bring our community together by building connections, extending empathy and promoting social and emotional learning.

Guest speakers will cover topics such as navigating family challenges, building resilience in teens, parenting the struggling child and building strong families. Students and parents can also work together on family service projects, enjoy fun dinner-table activities, meet the Byron Nelson High School guide dogs and play family dodge ball. The Opportunity and Resource Fair will offer families the chance to get connected to local community partners and school organizations that promote social emotional learning and well-being.

Chick-fil-A sandwiches, pizza, sodas and Wooley’s Custard will be sold in the cafeteria as the event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a “family dinner.” Breakout sessions will commence at 6 p.m. Join the Medlin and Northwest ISD families for a great community-building event.
