Northwest ISD will host a Facebook Live video-streaming session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, to discuss the attendance boundary committee’s recommendation to school attendance zones.

Over the past 15 years, Northwest ISD has opened 16 new campuses. Examining attendance zones to balance enrollment and prepare for future schools is inevitable. Lance Thompson Elementary School will open in August 2019, and the district is working on the process of creating an attendance zone for the new school. This opening will affect the boundaries of neighboring district elementary schools.

Additionally, the district recently sought feedback regarding what the community feels are the most important criteria when rezoning schools. During the live video, Dr. Ryder Warren, district superintendent, will give an overview before taking audience questions.

Users can participate in the session by visiting the district’s Facebook page in a web browser or on the social media network’s mobile app.
